Calling all women and female youth to information meeting for UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH
United Women in Faith have been in existence since 1869
UWIF is a women's mission organization with an emphasis on women, children and youth. We are a local to global organization, empowering women to lead in areas of advocacy, justice, service and love with sisterhood fellowship.
Come out and hear what we do and see if you would like to become part of this amazing organization of unstoppable change-makers.
In our busy lives it is often difficult to serve others in need, but together, as sisters supporting sisters, we can be a powerful force for change.
Meet us in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday January 25th, at 12:15pm.
Inviting all current members as well as all interested.

Puppet Spaghetti Dinner: 'Tell the World About Jesus'
Join Puppets for Christ for our annual spaghetti dinner and shows!
We are offering two performances again this year and the same show will be on both dates.
Friday, January 30 at 6:00- Spaghetti Dinner and Show
Saturday, January 31 at 3:00- Show with concessions (no spaghetti at this show!)
* In case the shows are postponed due to inclement weather, the rescheduled dates will be February 6 & 7 *
This year’s show will be entitled “Tell the World about Jesus”.
Online ticket sales will begin on January 1st via email at puppetboss@comcast.net or Puppets for Christ Facebook page.
In-person ticket sales will begin on Sunday, January 11-25 at each service.
The deadline to purchase tickets will be January 25th .
Tickets will not be sold after this date and there will be NO sales at the door!
Ticket prices are $10/adult, $5/children(4-12) and children 3 and under are FREE.
You can purchase tickets using the Puppets for Christ GiveButter, cash, or check.
Reservations for parties of 6 or more can be made when you purchase your tickets for the spaghetti dinner.

Safe Sanctuary Training
Safe Sanctuary Training will be held today, following the 11am Festive Service.
All those wishing to help with children, youth, and vulnerable adult ministries must undergo this training.
For example, if you’d like to help with Sunday School, Youth Group, or special events - you must be Safe Sanctuary trained.
Training takes about 90 minutes.

Thank you for keeping our children/youth/vulnerable adults safe!
Lunch & Learn
All are welcome to Lunch & Learn, presented by Asbury’s Church & Society.

Ignite Youth Conference
The Ignite Conference takes place in Ocean City, MD every year and is hosted by the Baltimore-Washington & Peninsula-Delaware Area UMC Conference.
Speakers and Christian Music Artists help create this high-energy worship experience for youth in grades 6 - 12.

Cross Connection is an organization providing opportunities to serve others.
Through Cross Connection, Asbury will be sending a team of youth and adults on a mission trip to Richmond, VA.

Pollinator Garden Clean-Up
A Volunteer Opportunity from the Church and Society Committee
The second Pollinator Clean-Up this fall will be held on Saturday, November 22 from 9-12, weather permitting.
Gloves and tools available or you may bring your own.
Coffee, water, and donuts will be provided!
No skill needed!
Instructions will be provided, school age, youth, adults and seniors all welcome.
Come and help us care for God's creation. Arrive when you can, stay as long as you can.

New Members Class
Are you interested in becoming a member at Asbury?
This fall, Pastor Chelsea will host a class for those interested in exploring membership.
Class will meet on Sunday, November 16, from 12:15-2:15pm in the Library.
Lunch will be provided, and childcare will be available upon request.
Members will then join Asbury in the November 23 worship service.

RMD & QCD Presentation
Sign Up to Learn More about Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) from your retirement funds.
The Asbury UMC Finance Committee will be hosting Kimberly Magaha from Wealthspire Advisors on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 4pm in the Mackey Room.
If you are 70 ½ or older and have an IRA, especially for any Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) you need to make, and you might be eligible to take advantage of this program, reduce your tax liability, meet any RMD requirements you have, and benefit the church at the same time!

The Asbury Parking lot facing Rt. 13 will have some fun cars with trunks full of treats!
Volunteers decorate their trunks and hand out candy as a safe alternative to trick-or-treating.
